Municipal Science Fairs ’23: Three Prize-Winning Innovative Projects

In an outstanding participation, our students shone in the recent editions of the Municipal Science Fair in El Carmen de Viboral and La Ceja, with 3 exciting projects:

1. “FramcaSolar:” Robotics students from the Francisco María Cardona School in La Ceja presented this revolutionary prototype composed of solar panels. Dubbed “FramcaSolar,” the project illuminates the institution and the flower crops at night, offering an innovative solution to reduce energy costs and allow plant growth at night.

2. “The Magic of Nature in a Jar:” From our STEM pedagogy, students from the rural La Aurora School created “The Magic of Nature in a Jar.” The project focused on the homemade production of essential oils through extraction methods from aromatic and medicinal plants, offering a unique aromatherapy experience.

3. “Art and Philosophy:” Coming from the rural Santa María School, the “Art and Philosophy” project highlighted the creativity and reflection of the students, faced with their own realities and environments, they created a work of art inspired by deep philosophical themes.

These achievements are not only a testament to the talent in rural areas, but also the importance of providing opportunity. Our daily commitment is to positively impact these territories through education, building bridges to a brighter and more equitable future.

We celebrate these successes that demonstrate the limitless potential of our students and the positive impact of education in rural communities!
